My drawings, sculptures, paintings and photographs reflect my experience of everyday life in the world. My artworks are of a consistently high standard and demonstrate my disciplined commitment to thoughtful investigation and intuitive experimentation. I use methods and/or tools relevant to the ideas, imagination and research which underpin the work. My installation works' transient nature means that documentation is the only record of their existence and therefore an artwork in itself. Conversations with other people are vital to all of my artworks because of their influence on my work and potential challenge to my ideas.
I specialise in: Drawing; Installation; Sculpture; Painting; SLR Photography and Digital Photography; Writing and Conversation.
I exhibit regularly and have presented at conferences in the United Kingdom and Germany. I have received financial awards and funding from various sources including; the Hope Scott Trust, Oppenheim-John Downes Memorial Trust, The Royal Scottish Academy, Creative Scotland and Women’s Enterprise Scotland to support my work as an artist.
I live in Blairgowrie, Perth and Kinross, Scotland and am the Artist-in-Residence-in-My-Own-Home.
